I didn't realise that Farage did mixed massages. If I had I may have voted for him

I sense an air of frustration..... maybe you are setting your expectation too high. Leave was never meant to win - if they where serious they would have, as you suggested, done a whole lots more behind the scenes to prepare for and deliver the UK a strong negotiating position. As it stands we will get a Brexit label slapped onto a Brenythingbutexit package - the majority of the sheeple will buy it and the Leavers here will be up in arms.

Well what do we have here - an impasse. You make one prediction of the future and I make a different one - you make your assumptions and I make mine. You are right about one thing - we will still get our Audis and BMW's . Immigration will be a bit lower correcting for our reduced economic power and general attractiveness and a sham of a points based system that will be introduced to placate the people. We shall have to wait and see about the rest. TM - is looking hot in a sort of 'undead' way don't you think?.

Now that is the most interesting and insightful post on here and quite frankly the only hope that Brexit will actually achieve anything. The EU will also be very clearly on red alert for any such leverage events and contain them at all costs whilst making life as difficult/dividing attitudes within the UK.

Yada yada yada - they will do what they have always done - make a big show of it and then go back to their constituents claiming a Huge victory when in reality very little will have changed. As other have said, it will be a great show and keep the masses on the edge of their seats. Sorry - I though you knew how it all worked. Everyone needs a dream tho.....

Yeh I saw the Greek tragedy in all its gory details - I also wanted Greece to leave at that time, of course it was absurd - as I've said before Farage is an agitator. He has done a job - now is the job of making reality work for everyone. Its easy to criticise - the EU is ripe for it - now for reality - we want to trade with them - they have rules - we don't follow their rules then we don't get a slice of the action. Farage has done his bit - I think he behaved like a twit in his final speech - on balance tho he served his purpose.

Nigel Farage (someone else used NF so I thought it was acceptable - no inference made) - is a good agitator, he has done his bit, he got the change he wanted - now he is a spent vessel. He is not a statesman or leader of a country - he has said so himself. I am not surprised at his appalling behaviour at the EU - he was sick of being suppressed - and his frustration, anger and resentment showed. He would have been more effective and served up a bigger whammy to the EU if he had been humble and told them unemotionally that they needed to change and that , with all due respect the UK had spoken and that a clear message for the EU to change had now been broadcast to the world. That would have been taken more seriously and hurt more than any little angry tirade which simply made him look like a spiteful child and had the effect of uniting the EU even more.

He doesn't agree with you mate - no need for the insult. Royw6 thinks he's a dangerous twit - and he is - 4 million views because he's a 'star' dangerous twit. His speech was resentful, gloating, insulting and whatever other negative adjective you can throw at it. He makes Britain look like Little Britain and I personally am embarrassed by it. If he had been gracious/humble about leaving he may have come across as a statesman - but then he would have not been NF the star dangerous twit.

More about what? I was there at the time - I can probably tell you from that stand point if you like. Don't be shy. -

Ha - you are right of course - they voted for a government that wanted to do a deal with the Troika or they threatened to move away - that deal was not agreeable to the Troika - then the government changed their minds/bottled it and the people stayed behind the government despite their u turn - so what does that mean who knows. I know quite a few Greeks and they say (anecdotal) that a majority of Greeks would want to stay in the Euro as they fear the alternative. -
I was reacting to a quote taken from TheCountOfNoWhere - he said it was on the news - It is on the news quite a lot actually. No one said controlled immigration is racist. To be clear what I am saying is that if we want free trade with Europe then it is my belief that we will have to accept free movement of labour because the EU will not budge on that point.

One mans wailing is another's legitimate concern. The leavers gloss over the consequences of exiting proper the EU - as you have done - its merely put in as 'an adjustment' something that we will work through. Its almost as if these industries/services are not hard won or don't matter - this is not just about the financial sector but all other trade we do with Europe. It should not be brushed aside - there are peoples jobs at stake here and the long run may be very very long - the risks are currently unknown and no one has a plan. Look - I don't like the way the EU treated Greece - there central bank bullied it into an untenable position - that was awful - that single thing almost swung me into Leave. The Greeks voted in the end to remain, I thought that they of all people should have left. But you must also realise that our central banks have done the same to our own people via QE. In some ways Leave may trigger meaningful change in EuroLand - I hope so because that is the current path. I do have some faith in our civil service - they are the brains behind the scenes who clear up the mess left by the politicians. Left hope they can minimise the damage and maximise our advantages. -
A remainer I am together with 48% of the population - it was a slim majority not a route. In an election where real policies are actually defined you will need to get everyone on board or you will lose most of what you think is your mandate. I don't see why I can't keep people on their toes - its a free country - still.

Well - now we are talking. Who isn't angry at that - I agree with you on this - governments went a long way to disenfranchise 2 generation not 1 and now they are reaping the rewards - anger and hate - that is real also. People have lost out to those who had the fist grab of the money, those with assets that did not tank due to the central bank and QE. No one - repeat no one got rewarded for being prudent - it was a set up and they deserve to be punished for that - but how? It has found a vent through Brexit, and in my opinion in the worst sort of way. I do understand why Leaver's voted leave, I am not daft (maybe a little) - but anger is being directed at the place it has always been directed at times like this.

Everyone talking about Racism/Immigrants/Politicians - what you said They are also talking about Brexit, Article 50 and the fact that no one can figure out what leave means and a whole bunch of other stuff. You make it sound like none of the bold is happening - we are talking about it - its in the news and its actually happening etc.
