  1. Locate the fraud centre to where most of the fraud originates. Smart move, I think not.
  2. http://www.insidehousing.co.uk/news/whats-the-benefit?/housing-minister-releases-charity-cd-with-the-clash/6514319.article And I do know what the date is to day.
  3. http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=new_post&f=22 Dexia a large global bank based in a tiny country that could not save it went to the fed for funds 31bill. German banks loading up. The Tea Party will have a field day over this especially as 3 years on the Europeans have still not fixed their banks. They are still Fubar and the best solution they have is the Irish Taxpayer pays. Bejesus.

  5. The problem is the Irish govt is past the point of no return. They have ploughed so much money in, 100 bill, that if they crash the banks now they crash the whole country much. much worse than Iceland. At least the govt there kept cash on hand and had some gold to refinance a new start. The Irish govt has nothing in the coffers they could not even fund a new banking system.
  6. Are you a spiv property developer? A bankster? or "I am all right jack I got my cash everybody else is just a twit?"
  7. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/8419796/Wind-turbines-hit-bat-populations.html Bats are being massacred by wind turbines and they are very important to agriculture. The law of unintended consequences.
  8. Anyway it is all immaterial. Cameron has won the next election buy giving pensioners a rise to 150 quid a week. Job done.
  9. Only if the Queen agrees to accept the resignation of the outgoing PM. If she says no then this can not happen. She has some use after all.
  10. It was for the Irish a result of lots of property bubbles the one in Ireland, then Spain, then Romania, then Croatia, then Bulgaria and the one in the UK. You just could not keep a good robo paddy down.
  11. The BBC obviously tried to rig this vote. In the last general election and the two before under FPTP the Greens Polled 1.5% to 1.65%. The table by the way under FPTP is where people voted with only one choice under FPTP rules, a separate ballot was held for AV. So why has the Green support under FPTP gone from 1.65% to 16.9% when we are being told that under FPTP rules people do vote for minority parties. Only explanation is that by chance a disproportionate number of greens turned up or were bussed in by the BBC which had decided that they wanted a Green win under AV for their little test. I used it as an example of the result does not change, the minority parties UKIP, BNP all poll exactly the same and AV is a FPADP with the same result.
  12. http://ftalphaville.ft.com/blog/2011/03/31/533216/irelands-stress-test-results/ 24 billion quid more or another 14% of GDP.
  13. As I said it is a con by the political parties to fob us off with "electoral reform". All they are proposing is changing from a FPTP system to a First past a different post system with a different way of counting. The BBC ran a AV v FPTP test on R5 the other morning. Below is the result They obviously stuffed the audience with Greens, but UK got no more votes, BNP got no more Votes, Libs, got no more votes. End result Labour elected via FPTP and then elected under AV with less than 50% of the vote. Massive fail, no change no more choice, just the old system with different counting. We are being conned.
  14. http://www.lvrj.com/business/las-vegas-home-prices-fall-below-2000-levels-118839369.html Nevada is the number one state for foreclosures and house prices are 60% down on peak.
  15. http://ftalphaville.ft.com/blog/2011/03/31/532856/viva-ovegas/ It is going to be bad as Blackrock who are doing the tests are using mortgage loses in Nevada to work out the losses the Irish banks are going to have to bear. Somebody in Blackrock has a sense of Irony, using the gambling capital of the world to work out loses in the biggest housing market gamble.
  16. Let the fun begin. Then for afters we can all laugh at Noonans mega bank rescue to trump the fantastic cheapest bank bailout ever (only 110% of GDP and still increasing) of Lenny Henry. Which has already been undermined by the ECB because they say they are not playing ball.
  17. And then when UKIP are kicked out the votes go back to the Torys. Same result just a longer process and as I say no change, still no UKIP MP's still loads and loads of Labour and Tory MP's.
  18. I am feeling fine thanks. I will be voting no because this is a sop and a stitch up of the voters. We need real change in the way the system is run not some slops thrown to us and then to be either told if a no vote "well the electorate are happy with the current system they have voted." or in the case of yes "Right we have given you the choice, thats it for now, no reforem of the house of lords, no reform of political patronage, no banning non local mps being parachuted into safe seats." It is a con.
  19. They will be ignored under AV as soon as they are last in count. What changes from FPTP, err nothing.
  20. Where is all the proof of this people not voting for minor party because they felt it was a lost vote. Fantasy land. The reason that parties get elected on 30% of the vote is because significant numbers of people vote for minority parties. What AV may stop is tactically voting but that is people making their mind up to vote for a different party than hey prefer for political reasons.
  21. AV does not give you more choice, you can vote green, UKIP, BNP, EDL whatever you want under FPTP. You will have exactly the same choices under AV. If AV is introduced and Cleggasm is in power next time do you think that the voting population will be happy? They will want revenge on Clegg and the only way that can be achieved is by voting them out of power. Will not happen under AV, people will feel even more wronged. Just look back to public opinion when Brown desparately tried to stay in power by forming a coalition, it was viewed as outrageous because the people had voted and they had lost. AV does nothing to produce strong governance it just gives an excuse for parties to say "Oh we are in a coalition now so we have changed our minds and what we said before the election has all been changed to a "coalition agreement" and sod you voters because we have POWER. Good governance is based on an opposition being able to defeat the govt in votes in the house or by the house of lords defeating govt bills. AV will always give the coalition an unassailable majority and does nothing to change the lords.
  22. But it does not mean they get representation, as soon as they are last they are out. All AV does is make the Liberals a permanent feature of govt it will be ConDem or LibLab every election from now on. AV actually will reduce the power of minority party MP's. Under AV Caroline Lucas will never be in a coalition because when 2 of the three large parties combine they will always have a majority to form the coalition.
  23. AV does nothing to stop incumbent mps with safe seats at all. Only boundary changes will elimate safe seats but even then you can not link half of Glasgow to half of Surrey.
