interestrateripoff
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b041mflr If your blood pressure can take it have a watch of this. Apparently Tories are the party of the City who've given them taxcuts etc.... Obviously ignoring the huge bailout the Labour party gave the City from 2008 onwards. The cost of living crisis that Labour helped create. And student loans, which Labour introduced but now you get to leave with £30k of debt which will take 20 years to pay off, so you start work with massive debt! Then a nice bit tacked on that you struggle with housing because of the that debt..... Genius really. It's a great system where once you are out of govt nothing was your fault it's all the other parties that have screwed up the country. Executive Sadman
Labour proposed graduate tax though. Big difference. Instead of paying money back once you earn a certain amount, you pay money back once you earn a certain amount. One is called a 'repayment' one a 'tax' Clearly there is a big difference, as ive just illustrated.
billybong
Remarkably for an eu election they managed to avoid mentioning anything about the eu for the entire election broadcast. Except for the prominant eu flag at the start and at the end. Using a voiceover that sounded very like LibDem Clegg's is probably no coincidence. The EU is kind of unpopular.
1929crash
It's funny that the only countries that go big on the EU are those who have had very little to do with it. Who can forget Sakashvilli of Georgia eating his tie on telly in front of an EU flag?
sombreroloco
Can anybody remind me the actual difference between the Labour party and the Tories? Both want to go on with QE, tax breaks for the rich, benefit cuts, more poverty....
MARTINX9
Can anybody remind me the actual difference between the Labour party and the Tories? Both want to go on with QE, tax breaks for the rich, benefit cuts, more poverty.... One is led by an Oxford educated PPE graduate who has never had a proper job and whose dad gave them a head start in politics. The other is led by Oxford educated PPE graduate who has never had a proper job (apart from one briefly his aunt got him) and whose dad gave them a head start in politics. Their colleges - Brasenose and Corpus Christi are about 100 metres apart in Oxford. That is about the only difference?!!!
