200p
How long have you got? Japan launches QE8 as 20-year slump drags on http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/9554131/Japan-launches-QE8-as-20-year-slump-drags-on.html Most people don't know what QE is, and most on HPC don't even know that Japan is onto QE8. The fiat world is FUBAR. Homework: For people on this sub forum, can someone create a chart with the time on the x axis, plot when each QE happened, and what the largest yen note denomination size was on the y axis. It'll be interesting to see. I have no idea what the result will be. Has Japan increased it's largest Yen note denomination in the last 30 years Pre and post QE1? What is the best investment in a so called "deflationary world".

Inflation controls the denomination of notes not the total money supply.

Trampa501
Spanish Ibex has been doing well again last few days (in fact overall doing well since July). Still not worked out why. The possibility of bank (or govt) bailouts shouldn't really impact on other companies profitibility. Although I suppose that if a company has weathered the deep recession so far, they have a good chance of increasing profits in years to come. Especially if like Inditex and also various construction companies, a lot of their income now comes from abroad.
