How cool would it have been to be the first person to enter that flat after all those years. It`s not about the value of the art work to me but the feeling of time standing still. Bit like finding a time capsule you can walk inside I suppose.

If no one is living there and rooms/windows are sealed Where does the dust come from? Spiders?
6538
If no one is living there and rooms/windows are sealed Where does the dust come from? Spiders? Under the doors, through the window frames, etc. The place was probably draughty as hell. Was an old flat so would have had open fireplaces probably which would create a draght through the place. kingsgate
Even if the rent was paid from a bank account each month, I am amazed that over that period of time, no-one had cause to go in. 70 years, wow. I'm thinking of flats I have owned, and do own, in blocks, where something will pop up within 5 or 10 years. Stuff like the people who manage the whole building wanting to do electrical upgrades / safety inspections / replace windows, etc etc..... Must be amazing to be the first to walk into something like that.
