bomberbrown
No link as of yet, but this was being this morning on the BBC London News. Some neighbour has done a whole heap of botched repairs on their house, which has subsequently damaged and condemned the neighbouring properties which are owner occupied. Now said owners are demanding Camden Council re-home them while it's all sorted out. 2 things immediately spring to mind. This is what buildings insurance is for I would imagine and why do they think that the liability sits with Camden Council, and not the numpty neighbour that caused the mess in the first place? Idiots!

bomberbrown
There's a link to this story now. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8543350.stm This is the telling bit: But the insurance company is due to stop paying her rent on 17 April - meaning the family face paying for temporary accommodation on top of their mortgage while a lengthy rebuild happens. What sort of useless insurance policy is that?????

bomberbrown
Just to clarify, the web article is far different from the TV report from this morning where the jist of the story was the home owners wanting Camden Council to re-house them while the works being done.
