OzzMosiz
Anyone know when interest is paid for the year on Cahoots 5.1% savings account? Also anyone know any better savings accounts, preferably one that pays monthly?
delboypass
cahoot pays monthly gross 4.98 Halifax online saver pays yearly gross 4.9 I prefer monthly to yearly as then you can clearly see what is happening. i hate transferring between 2 different banks though because it takes 5 days and you lose 5 days interest which could add up. Also play in your cash mini ISA (3k a year) ! halifax has one. Dont know what icici pays but that is meant to be 5.4.

delboypass
well i have a cahoot account and it pays me monthly - doubt they would have changed Cahoot savings monthly interest deposited directly into your savings account . I chose them because they pay monthly there fore i can work out what i should be getting in other accounts too. Ive oonly had it a few months and am waiting to see what a real months interest should be. I could use a calculator but not the same! Merryn
well i have a cahoot account and it pays me monthly - doubt they would have changed Cahoot savings <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I also have a Cahoot account (opened July 04) and it pays 5.65% annually. Got the interest last month. Probably an introductory offer - though I have not had any communication to say they are changing it, which I should have done, I guess. (4.98% gross p.a.) for credit balances under £250,000 Cahoot Website
delboypass
I want 5.65% - How on earth did you get that!!
cambridgeinvestor
The 5.65% was indeed a guaranteed offer (min of 5.5%) which Cahoot offered last year. You should have received an email a month or so ago from Cahoot (check your registered email with them) to say that they are holding the rate at 5.65%!! Unfortunately not available on savings accounts for newbies
