This sounds like a problem that Sarah Beeney would solve.

Effective use of space..blah blah.. move the kitchen to the front, move the lounge to the back, install an ensuite in the broom cupboard, move the house bathroom to the other side of the house...no one in this day and age should have to walk five steps to have a p1ss for Gods sake! :o

Builder thinks : :rolleyes: FFS - they think they flush the bog and the sh1t goes into thin air! :rolleyes:

In defence of the builder/ developer - the soil pipe (foul drain) connection is where it is and it's logical to use it.

If you want to make another connection to the drain, please note that this is a basement. You don't even have the normal gap under a suspended timber floor to start putting in a waste pipe. That means digging out a trench and trying to locate the drain and reinstating after. Could be a big job, I think the builder has seen it that way.
