Last year's G8 would only "seriously consider" a 50% cut in C02. On Tuesday it said it would "consider and adopt" the goal in an international agreement. Mr Brown said the deal was "beyond what people thought possible". But Greenpeace said tough targets were needed for the richest countries to slash emissions in the next 100 months. All we know is that by 2050 the UK will be an economic basket case due to Brown. UK talks one of the toughest but in reality is years behind countries like Germany that produce far more as well. Yet politicians seem fixated with the unproven climate change issue when they completetely ignore the 'when it's gone, it's gone' message. I don't discount the climate change theory completely, but the effect that human activity has had is unquantifiable because it cannot be separated out from any possible natural climate variation that might have just coincided with the rise in C02 emissions. I read this yeaterday, i dont think we are too far away from cracking how to get energy from electrons, when we do the global warming argument still allows government to tax you on what is unlimited and free energy. "If you consider all the energy in the full kilogram of water, which also contains oxygen atoms, the total energy equivalent is close to 10 million gallons of gasoline!"
