and when have we believed any of them? -
we've been hearing rumblings all day of something about to break, i suspect its why the mail is also snooping around Smiths, council thing. The Telegraph has seen the writing on the wall here, downfalls sell and theres no loyalty in journalism, you’re as as useful as they need you, they would turn of browns life support as quick as lightening..

http://www.iaindale.blogspot.com/ GRAB THE POPCORN Stay tuned tonight. The Telegraph has apparently bought the complete disk of MPs' expenses, which might explain Mr Brogan's light blogging today. They are splashing on it tomorrow, but I imagine Messers Robinson and Bradby may cover it at 10pm. All other lobby hacks are meanwhile looking green and thinking up spoilers...

Why Is Gordon Brown Being Criticised On His Expenses Plan?
sunonmars replied to Kyoto's topic in House prices and the economy
Its exactly what it is, loss of authority in every thing. Like children when they get a chance to payback the parent if they are not kept in line. Brown has lost control of the media narrative and can't get it back, the media smells blood and the pack of wolves is circling, the media will make a mint out of tearing Labour down, its inevitable. How long Brown holds out for is anybodys guess but no way Brown come back from this. Old saying and you all know it. It takes a lifetime to earn trust and reputation, 2 seconds to ruin it. (they are crucifying him, even the guardian smells blood) Brown should do the decent thing and go now because the mp's and media are no longer in fear and are not towing the line. -
Why Is Gordon Brown Being Criticised On His Expenses Plan?
sunonmars replied to Kyoto's topic in House prices and the economy
Brown deliberately only touched the MP's expenses debacle because he knows there is about to one almighty explosion on that front when things are published, he isnt doing it for the good of the nation, its to cover his backside. He intended to ram it through yesterday without any of the detail, knew he was going to lose spectacularly on the biggest issues of second homes per diem and the govt would have collapsed, hence he shuffled it out of view with a hasty retreat. He only did this because he was warned that to lose another vote in succession to the Gurkhas meant he would have been told to go by this morning by senior Labour officials. Brown also deliberately tried to stitch up the opposition parties by having Gorbals Mick withdraw the losing votes and then ram through anything that he could possibly win on, so he could say "oh look i am reforming it all for you". You really are an idiot if you think he's doing any of this for the public, Brown is doing this all for himself to grandstand. -
