  1. Hi all, noticed there has been a lot of "under offer" and "SSTC" on properties in my price range anyway. Is this normal given the time of year? Yet all reports and forecasts paint a very bleak image. Also I've seen heard that JF dishing out a ten step pamphlet in flogging your house, surely that doesn't bode well for business. Would you agree we are operating in 03/04 times regarding value.

  5. Done the Uni thing about 7 years ago and I am now doing getting a trade. Thinking of moving over the bridge or immigrate after my time is served as there is not exactly an abundance of work. I do want a house to live in but it wont be in Swansea for the long term. Looking for a cheapie to get me going, but everything seems so expensive. Livedd in Mumbles for 16 years now and your right it is madness.

  7. Hi all, help needed, I'm looking at getting on the ladder in Swansea, I've got a decent deposit and have been given the provisional go ahead from lender to start putting offers. I don't have a chain as I'm renting, wouldn't mind doing up a property to live in for a while then maybe sell on in the future. I'm a bit new to this game and the EA's can obviously see the naivety in people of my age an circumstances. I've seen a goer and thought it's got potential, as soon as we had stepped out of the front door the EA's seemed desperate to push it on us telling us how much he'd take (quite a bit above what I was prepared to offer), hang on now I said we'll decide what the amount should be. Im looking moving to the Sketty Uplands Tycoch City Centre Mount Pleasant and at a push Manselton kind of areas. The problem is want these kind of properties at 20 to 25 percent less than the asking price E.G. 120k to around 95k. Is there hope for me yet or are stuffy sellers digging in their heels. Cheers for the feedback much appreciated.
