  1. They'll be giving that away soon, if only I lived in Ireland.......
  2. Im not an agent but I would have thought QP boundary is Richmond pk rd, Charminster rd, QP ave and the Wessex Way..
  3. Although I don't think making them into 1 and 2 bed flats really counts as 'family' accommodation. Needless to say this is only going to buy up a small section of an extremely rundown area and what family is going to want to house there kids there? It's still going to be full of drunks and drug addicts.
  4. This bit made me laugh: You only need to throw a penny on the floor and an agent will be there Im suprised Queens Park has a problem with HMOs and not Charminster according to the Council
  5. What kind of licensing? I understand they have already restricted any new houses being turned into HMOs if the area already has more than 10% - are they bringing in more licensing in addition? I imagine they will endevour to flush students out from Winton and the like in favour of the mass blocks they are building in the town centre.
  6. I take it you haven't seen the sizes of new build flats? The older pb flats tend to have larger lounges and were actually designed for people to live in unlike today's Slave boxes. I don't think buying an interest in the freehold is good with flats unless everyone in the block has the same, if something goes wrong with the building itself you'll be part liable and the other leaseholders would peruse freeholders for compensation. If you get a chance, look up 'admirals walk' in Bournemouth, it was reported in the local paper they had issues like this. I've seen a few of these share of freehold flats go to auction lately as noone wants them.
  7. Yeah I agree, I just wouldn't want to pay the same for one as a freehold house, which a lot of them are priced at. At least with a freehold you don't have to worry about leases and terms and conditions of your lease, I would rather rent than buy a lease.
  8. I think You'll struggle to find quiet in Bournemouth! What's wrong with converted flats? Personally I wouldn't buy any Flat if I could afford a house but that's just personal choice,
  9. Depends on your life style and what u like. Prob best to avoid most of boscombe and springbourne but the rest is mostly alright. What kind of budget do you have? Looking for a family area or single pad?
  10. I was just thinking the same! What a bargain though, why are they describing it as though only investors should buy them? What's wrong with saying average Joe could make a nice home out of this and not be a debt slave with it.
  11. Looking on zoopla it seems the whole if that new estate was sold within a week! Developers friends company perhaps lol
  12. That doesn't sound right, £178k for that even in the height of the boom sounds a little shady!
  13. The emails that I've been getting from rightmove mostly have 'reduced' stickers on, is this a new thing as I haven't noticed this before? I think there seems to be less kite flying around than there has been in the past couple of years, but a lot doesnt seem to be shifting. Are u registered with any agents? Do they let you know about places before they hit the Internet?
  14. Lenders themselves wouldn't have arranged liar loans for the sheeple, it would have been (speculation) brokers like these or the sheeple themselves. Lenders just shut their eyes
  15. http://www.bournemou..._fraud_charges/ 11 face charges of instigating mortgage fraud
  16. I thought that was episode 3? Last weeks? Surely you have to tick all those boxes for one of those loans, straight headed people don't apply for them do they? Was a funny sketch though
  17. Perhaps we should get on our soap boxes in our local town centres and preach the good word of hpc! (just joking) this thread makes in sound like we're becoming a cult
  18. If the landlord breaks the original tenancy agreement you have signed, does this contract become void? Could they still hold you to your terms and conditions in a court of law?
  19. What happens if the tenancy agreement has expired and you now have no contract of tenancy as you have not actually signed anything to agree to any notice period?
  20. Whats odd is that this house got planning permission when rules were tight and nothing to do with the new relaxed ones, how the hell he got it I don't know as that blatantly is not in keeping with the surrounding. The pic did make me chuckle!
  21. Very unprofessional security guard :lol:You would think Osborne (tax payer) could afford the cream of the crop!
