Completely agreed. Took me 2 weeks to get a cash buyer for my house (moving due to work), because I'm being realistic on the price. Moving to rented as well, because there are just too many kite fliers to get involved in any chain rubbish.

Not sure that's true. I've fixed a couple of things recently (touch-controlled lamp, remote controlled mains socket) by simply taking them to bits and soldering a replacement fuse onto the circuit boards. I've also fixed a couple of local kids' Nintendo Wiis with a £7 part from Ebay. People look at me like I'm some sort of magician, but this stuff is really really easy, just nobody knows how to do it any more.

I'm 6'2" and 16 stone - I found that the Avensis was very comfortable and roomy on a test drive, and I can happily drive my wife's Yaris (although the pedals are a little bit small for me). Didn't buy the Avensis though, I'll stick to my fully paid-for 60mpg Polo thanks

Unbelievable. They'll lend me and the missus 5.9x joint income, when I put 75% of property "value". No fecking way in hell I could afford the repayments on that (although my definition of afford seems to differ from most people - my definition is can I afford it if the repayments double).

There's a sign up in our local EA - "Now is the perfect time to buy - before the market shows signs of recovery", or some such drivel. Makes me laugh every time I see it
