Your message is a few years late, my friend
We must break the bonds of economic slavery and find a new way to live
What is the moral and spiritual character of our times? Today, we are shocked by the slave trade's evil economics. However, because we have given financial matters an exaggerated role in our lives, we often forget the enslavement of the human spirit that this has caused. The economics of slavery may have been a thing of the past, but the slavery of economics is very much of the present. Ken Costa is chairman of Lazard International

Let’s not get carried away – the only economic slavery we have in this country is private land ownership and the subsidies thereto financed by a crushing tax burden on wealth-creating activities. Or is that what you meant?

A narrow field of vision is something to be overcome.

I think what Devo means (borrowing from one of the comments):
“Money should not be created for private profit with high compound interest. Simple maths suggests that people will be slaves to the bankers who create the money. We should reclaim control of money creation for the benefit of all, not the benefit of the fewâ€.
Or in my words: Simply put. It is time that actual stuff in the real economy (manufacturing, food, things we need to survive etc.) led the financial world rather than the pretend funny money that yo-yo’s commodity & housing prices causing people to over stretch themselves just maintaining a roof over their heads only to find them selves under threat of eviction and bleeding hard earned cash to the few at the top.
