GrillsBears
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7697393.stm So after leaving soldiers underprepared and ill equipped the Government has now decided to spend a load of cash providing uprated vehicles. I don't suppose just withdrawing from unwinnable wars and saving the cash crossed anyone's mind did it?
RufflesTheGuineaPig
Seems like an excelent way to bosst manufacturing. We MUST spend out way out of a depression. We must more to a war footing.

copydude
Rover - owned by Tata Motors. So, it's Indian jobs for Indian workers. What happened to Gordon's loft insulation initiative? Edited October 29, 2008 by copydude
RufflesTheGuineaPig
I've changed my mind, this isn't about creating jobs. By the time the first vehicle rolls off the production line, labour will be toast and the tories will be in power. This is more scorched earth... it's about leaving the tories a £700m bill which will bloat into £3bn by the ime the first vehicles reaches service.
