Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
A young Cornish nationalist has warned that extremists could torch English-owned holiday homes, unless steps are taken to solve the affordable housing crisis. Jack Bolitho, 18, says he fears extreme nationalist groups could act because of the dearth of affordable properties for local people and the rising tensions blamed on the perceived growth of wealthy "incomers". Why should we put up with 2nd home ownership in a country with such restricted building? There is no place for it. There are two choices. Either we relax the building laws and new homes = demand in the areas popular with 2nd home ownership or we have to tax 2nd home ownership out of existence to level the playing field for those trying to buy their primary residence. That 2nd home owners still only pay upto 90% of the council tax for their 2nd home is simply unbelievable.
