Ftse 100 Having A Good Day (up 1.3%) (1/12/05)

Recommended Posts

Can anyone offer an explanation for why the home builders' shares are falling back on a day when the FTSE 100 index is moving up?

Surely there hasn't been some news that has escaped the attention of this discussion board? ;)

Xil.

Another point. My wifes childminding group weekly discussion has moved on from house prices to who's been made redundant.

If you went long on BVS or WMPY it's your own ***** fault.

Stay away at all costs. Looks like profit taking to me.

Bit off topic, I know, but can someone explain what "going long" and "going short" means to a humble electrical power engineer!
