nonsense

we need savings - yes there would be pain for the short term but if we carry on spending money we dont have currency destruction will be the result

the problem is there has been far too much spending in the past - the hangover from that needs to be suffered or else we give the economy one more fix of the debt drug and the economy dies

You need security of power, water and food. You need the security of being able to domestically produce these basic needs.

The Bank of England printing a few billion here and there isn't going to make any difference in the grand scheme of things. You just have to look at the graph of the explosion in the money base since the 1970's to realise that.

If they print more, who are they going to lend it to and when the banks have filled their black holes, who are they going to lend it to? The tooth fairy?

Are you insinuating that the Tooth Fairy isn't real?
