It's not a public battle but you can see it being played out. Murdock is attempting to take full control of BSKYB and has offered to sell sky news to facilitate that deal. The bbc have had the license fee frozen for two years. The bbc have been told to cut back the bbc website that was costing 200million a year to run.... I'm happy to put the boot into the BBC at any opportunity esp after they tried to steal my image and use is on the BBC 6 O'clock news backdrop. Ironically it was the BBC who while surfing house price crash came across my image then decided to steal it. After threatening to sue them they finally made a snivelling apology and offered to pay me £600 pounds in compensation. They admitted that one of there technicians came across my images on House Price Crash and used the image to calibrate the blue screen equipment. It was then used accidentally. Of course it was. You are all wrong, the stats are skewed for the benefit of publicity for the ONS. They whip up some silly stats and get a headline on the BBC that you are now talking about. Don't buy a newbuild, you will regret it.. I walked out of my new build rented flat in Birmingham this morning to find the 1. Lift broken 2. Police and concerned ressidents in the corridor. 3. Several thousand pirate dvd's scattered in the corridor and the stairwell. 4. Water gushing throught the building. It appears there has been a dvd pirate factory (again) in one of the flats. From speaking to the police (off the record of course) it appears there may have been a falling out between rival triad gangs or the people who were running the pirate operation. Someone has broken into the flat, trashed the place thrown out all the pirate dvd's into the corridor then locked the doors, blocked all the sinks and turned on the taps and made their escape out of the window. Thanking my lucky stars that they didnt torch the place because some Chavs removed the fire alarms in my part of the building so they could smoke weed. Did I mention the cannabis factory. As with most IT contrators I have been avoiding IR35 since its introdution. It's a risky business, tax avoidance, however I beleve avoiding IR35 is justified so I refuse to play the game. This bunch of chancers will be out at the next election. I believe it was in the tories manifesto to get rid of IR35 so maybe the old man could come in from the cold. Anyway as an IT contrator who works in the car industy I fully support this scrapage scheme along with all the turkeys who have just voted to ban christmas, however I believe this scheme will be just another turkey because this government has long since given up with any rational thinking. It's reactionary politics at it worst.
