  1. There is no rule that says I can't contradict myself, If you want to create one then go ahead but I wont follow it unless you make me.
  2. Thats more like it. 1) Rules are made by those who can enforce them - True 2) People accept them because they are either happy with them or cannot change them. -True 3) People are free to change them. - Not true, it could cost them theirs lives because the people enforcing the laws could kill them 4) You can break the rules. - True you are free to break any rule you want it's a matter of choice. If the cost is worth it....... 5) You will be stopped from breaking the rules. Not true - The enforcers my try to stop you but people do get away with breaking the rules 6) You are happy to obey the rules. - True I adhere to the rules because: I don't them to be enforced on me and because I agree with most of them. The ones I dont agree are only worth changing through the poltical process. 7) People who are happy to obey the rules are the ones who enforce them on others. Not true - People who enforce the rules do it because it benifts them. 8) Other people (not you) enforce the rules. - True 9) You are not happy with the idea of using force. - Not True - I am happy with the use of force. 10 ) Therefore you will need help forcing others. - True it's not a one man band 11) A few people make the rules for their own benefit at th eexpense of others. - True. 12) The majority are happy with the rules. - True. In the UK it's called apathy i.e when people cannot be even bothered to vote because they are happy enough with the way things are. "Even the fact that you will post to me rather than using force is itself an indication you don't believe at least half of what you are saying." Why would I want to you force you are not breaking any rules? In fact most people enjoy healthy discussion. It helps to formulate new ideas, think out of the box ect ect. I dont think it needs any explanation. So Brainiac how do you see the current situation and more importantly what are you going to do about it? What signs shall I look for so that I know that "Injin" has stuck a devastating and crippling blow to our Evil Overloads and that a new Utopia will be ushered in bringing in a golden age of enlightenment? I am really looking forward to it by the way. It would really help if I could have a timeframe for this monumentous event as I wouldn't want to quit my job to early. The main reason for this being that I wouldn't have enough of the Evil stuff to buy food for my family and they would all die of starvation as a result.
  3. If you have a point please try and make it. Your answer is too vaugue and is in no way constructive. I am in no way dismissing your opinion, neither am I disagreing with it just putting my view the way I see it. At which points do I contradict myself?
  4. The rules are made my people who can enforce them, obviously that doesn't make them right. People accept these rules because they either benifit from them or are unable to change them. I accept the rules of GB because I am happy with the my life, why would I want to change that? Everyone has the freedom of choice to accept these rules or not. If you choose not to accept the rules then you will end up breaking some of the rules but as a result of this the people who enforce the rules will hope to catch you breaking their rules and apply suitible force to stop you. Now one person alone could not single handedly create the rules and enfoce them on everyone else without the help of other people so these other people would have to benefit so as to enforce them and this filters down level be level until you get to the bottom. However at some point there is a balance between the number of people enforcing the rules and the number of people who are not happy with the rules. Sometimes this balance changes and you get revolutions ect ect and the rules get changed. This has been played out many time through out history. I take it your not happy with the rules in the UK so what are you going to do about it? you will probably need some help? trouble is most people in the UK are happy and would not like and drastic changes. I fear that you may be knocking you head against a brick wall. IMO there are a lot of other countries that could benift more from a rule change than the UK.
  5. True but they exist so we must have one in case someone else has one.
  6. Take J K Rowling for an example: She is now richer than the Queen. No one tried to assinate her along the way did they because she started making a lot of money? The truth is most people cant be bothered to sort their lives out or are to stupid to do it or both.
  7. Exactly right, prople don't vote polotical parties in they vote political parties out!!
  8. I think of it as a school uniform. I dont mind wearing one as I hate getting my real clothes tainted with the smell of work. Also people always judge a book by its cover so dressing down doesn't always give the right impression.
  9. Good point, people are really dumb, No company would give their services or goods away for free so why should an employee. There are lot of easier ways to make £50K a year than working 16+ hours a day. Personally my rule is that you work to live not live to work. My Family and Friends will come first every time.
  10. You are spot on, The whole thing is about the quest for energy. My own thinking is that it is the speed of light that enslaves us. It's the barrier that needs to be broken.
  11. So you have two critera for being a Slave 1) You are not allowed to create your own money 2) you are not allowed an opinion. Well you obviously have an opinion so now you have only one reason that describes a slave and this is we are not allowed to create our own money. Ok say every 6,602,224,175 one of us created our own individual currency how would you know how much each one was worth incomparion to the others? It's just not fesible is it? do you have any more critera for being a slave that we need to know of?
  12. It's enforced to make it work, this does not make it slavery. How am I a slave, I can do anything I want to, infact I barley do 1% of what available to me? I am free to say what I want when I want, I get to have fun and enjoy my life with my family and Friends and say I loose my job, then I get looked after by the stae until I can find another one, my family still have food, water and shelter? How is this slavery?
  13. True, but our goverment have the firepower to enFORCE this system i.e the police "FORCE", That makes it work. You dont and your money is worthless as a result. It's just a system, We use systems every day to navigate life, it's like having a highway code that defines how people drive so as to prevent accidents all the time. However some people don't follow the rules, some get away with it and yes we still have crashes but for most of the time everyone who follows the system remains OK. The only things that have any real value to us as humans are Food, Shelter and Water. Who gives a toss if I use paper, plastic or gold as long as I can get these things for me and my family then the job a good-un.
  14. I agree on many of your points, I can't believe that someone like Dawkin produce such good work and then just blow it all by saying that god does not exist , it's just hypocricy. How can he just say that he has no evidence either way and does nothing for the cause of science. However a religious cult is a religious cult whatever. Just because it has a billion people plus doesn't make it right. Not only have these people been brainwashed but they are brainwashing their own children and I find this very disturbing to be honest.
  15. As I said above I think that Faith is a manifestation of the emotion called optimisim. Optimisim was created by nature through the process of evolution as a survival techinique. Think about it, you use you faith to get you through tough times "There is a light at the end of tunnel". It's a very powerful survival technique.
  16. It was a big question " Is the world we live in not what is seems?" what did you expect.
  17. It's a game of survival of the fittest nothing more, nothing less. There is reams and reams of evidence proving this but no evidence that god exists. If I ask you to give me some evidence that God exists you will not be able to, but you will say you have faith and that we will find out when we die. DOn't you think thats a bit suspisious? The majority of people are optimistic, this is natures design and for me Religion is just a manifestation of this optimisum. The way I see it is that the questions that religion present: Who are we?, why are we here? is there something else? are all valid questions but they certainly have not been answered yet and as a race we should be trying to answer them. You are using your religion as a safety blanket because is neatly answers all the questions that you dont have proper answers for and disgusess the random brutality of survival of the fittest as some master plan, it's not. Also let me point out that survival of the fittest is all about change and adapting to your environment and this is present even in religion. Evidence of this the fact that is present in Christianity: We have catholics, church of England, Protestants ect ect All based on the same origional principal but slightly mutated. It's all about adapting to the environment. With all this change present even in Christianity how can you use religion as a yard stick? by the way you should be using a meter stick!! In answer to posters initial question I would say: Make a plan af what you want and want to to do in the future and then do it.
  18. So the question I ask is: Have the "BTL in it for my pension brigade" got the right idea? Even if they are subsidising a couple of hundred quid a month it still seems like a better alternative than a grand a month with no gaurentees on results and nothing to pass on to your kids?
  19. A local estate agents around my way has converted half of it's office into a coffe shop.
  20. Why do it yourself when you can someone else to do the work for you for less?
  21. But not every Country can chase it down because when one side of a currency pair goes down the other side goes up. Thus the importer becomes the exporter and the balance is returned?
  22. But if currency A depreciates against currency B then currency B in appreciating in value. How could holders of currency B loose confidence in currency B as they have just got richer? For instance the Pound has achieved record levels against the Yen in the past year but you don't hear anyone in England saying that the whole system is about to fail because the Yen has lost so much value. We are about to enter an economic downturn in this country but as long as more than one currency exists in this world then some form of currency exchange will still exist whether is back by gold or not.
