  1. Im still waiting for the drops to come in Coventry. IMO over the last 6 mths there has been quite a reduction in the supply of houses coming through at the lower end of the market in CV5. Anything that has come through is usually in poor repair.
  2. Slumpmonkey, I understand your frustration. Looking at some of the prices in Coventry are ridiculous. Depends which areas you are looking at. There are some reasonably priced houses there, just depends on what area you want to live in. My gut feeling is that HPC hasn't really happened here yet but there will come a time when it will. I'm going to hold on till spring next year.
  3. I'm talking about Coventry. From the description Realist bear gave it sounds like a place called Earlsdon which in all honesty is a fairly nice place. It is full of lnice homes but the prices they are going for are ridiculous. In addition, there are loads of new build flats springing up around the area all the time. My mate had a look at one which they wanted £160k for with maintenace costs of £800 pa.
  4. It would be great but I am very doubtful that such a large drop could occur in such a short timeframe for houses in that part of the city. My mate thinks that part of town is the bee's knees and has tried to convince me on numerous occasions to buy a 1 bed flat there which is over £110k as he thinks its value can only go up. Incidentally, I keep a close watch on a few areas at the lower end of the market and apart from a few half decent ones the majority of flats etc are still way overpriced.
  5. Hi Slumpmonkey, I hope you are right about the Stivichall/Finham area because if they come down to that price, it will make all the other houses/flats in the city cheaper as well. However, I'd like to know what makes you think that the prices in Cov are going to come crashing down. Incidentally, I've been looking around CV4 and CV5 over the last 3 or 4 months and haven't seen that many price reductions so far.
