The flats are nice and have gym facilities, but the area is still a bit dodgy IMO.

What do you mean by dodgy? Can you give any specifics?

I could dig you out a photo I took there a year or so back. It was a big wall with 3 foot letters spelling out "Johnny loves methadone".

Visited Glasgow recently ( job hunting).

Speirs Wharf looks like a dormitory! Though the west-end

looks really nice and the prices seem really high.

Any idea about price trends in this area?

The west end has generally been the most expensive area in Glasgow for a long time.

It is a little ironic as vast swathes of it are "polluted" with students and you also find a great many neds (chavs). The west end also has the highest levels of car crime in Glasgow.

Trends? West end usually rises first and falls last.
