Gigantic Purple Slug
This is not to be taken as financial planning advise just trying to settle a family debate. My sister is a civil servant and tells me that my wife is well below the threshold for 'keeping' child benefit as she is adamant that the £50k income is based on income net of income tax. I believe otherwise and that it is the gross of salary + incomes such as dividends less pension contributions and trading losses. Wife earns £55k basic plus car/fuel allowance with a BIK of £8k combined plus a bonus upto 25% of her salary (can be higher, i.e. last year was paid at 140%) Whose right. Thank you. I would go for Thomas "the Hitman" Hearns. Devastating power.
