Discopants
Hey Any advice on the best way to get a euro savings account? I'm after a euro savings account ideally. So anyone reccomend any accounts? I guess it's a play off between best rates of interest and best rates for pound to euro conversions Thanks in advance

I used to work at Fidelity and they do currency funds, but I have no idea whether they are market beating or not. Since HSBC don't seem to have too much problem with liabilities vs assets, you could try them. Nationwide BS do the same I think. Fidelity are such a mammoth company and are *only* a fund manager, so may be less risky, and they are a private company, something they set great store by. I had a look at their swiss franc performance and it didn't seem to be market beating, so any others out there?

If indeed they are better. The bonus with them is that you can get a fixed rate to insure against falls in the immediate future. Although what they don't take in commission/fees they take on a slightly lower than bank ex-rate. Time to do some research & number-crunching. Good luck!
