CrashedOutAndBurned
Just seen the movie Idiocracy - it's a pretty funny satire on the dumbed down mega-corporation direction the western world is taking. I'd been meaning to catch up with it as I'm a Mike Judge fan and the movie was pretty much 'buried' by the studio and just dumped straight to video, which is strange as it's nowhere near a turkey. The opening scene's quite provocative and should strike a chord with the average HPC poster. I love the middle class couple fretting over 'the market' as they decide when to carefully plan their family. OnlyMe
Reminds me of a few UK museums that have the the stuffing knocked out of them and replaced by a few touchy-feely super exhibits which leave you hardly any the wiser and only midly entertained. The world doesn't need too many intelligent, angst ridden and thoughtful people. Maybe Dawinism is working just fine. When the welfare state breaks under the load it will get ugly for a while - you can't buck natural selection.

That b4stard Ghandi was just a show-off. Now where's my copy of The Sun?
Dr Doom
Just saw this yesterday, bloody good. The scene where Joe is trying to explain himself during his court case has to resonate with anyone who has ever been lambasted for questioning HPI. The really scary thing is that this probably is the future. Including the tattoos (mark of the beast) that everyone has to have to be used as money. There were people who I went to school who got married had three kids and were divorced before I'd finished university - most of my friends are either childless or had one or two in their mid thirties. The thick shall inherit the earth, no doubt about it. Anyone care to join me in a move underground?
