delboypass
Rather than council tax, why isnt the home owner subjected to charges (is this like the poll tax??). In this way, ALl houses are charged a cost (like council tax) but to the registered owner of the property on the land registry. If the fee is not paid, the house is repossesed. In this way, the local authorities will now what houses are empty. Then it is up to the residents of the house to claim back any charges they feel are necessary. This defeats the point of houses sitting empty and people not paying council tax
