khali
I spotted one of these companies on the telly a few weeks ago. I think they were offering between 10% and 25% less than market value. I wonder how many goons have phoned up claiming their house's market value is 25% higher than it actually is? I also wondered whether the company itself stood much chance of getting stung if HPC unfolds as we would like it so to do. I guess they've factored all that in and are preying on the desperate who, as you say apom, need to sell but can afford to take a bit of an equity loss. Mushroom
Always been these sort of firms around, often in local papers' small ads. Using TV must mean they expect lots of easy pickings. Some do quick tartup, back on market quickly, others in it for rental. They must believe figures stack up. Sell and rent back? Hmm, way to get punter to sell at good, for buyer, price. 6 months tenancy, then notice? Edited October 19, 2005 by Mushroom
