Could This Be The First Inflation Busting Pay Dispute?

Recommended Posts

Could this be the first inflation busting pay dispute that the MPC have so feared?

As far as I can remember this is the first significant private sector dispute. I know the numbers taking part are small, but it is high profile.

This strike has as much to do with pilots being forced onto lesser paid contracts (a forced move from the A340 fleet to the A330 fleet with worse t+c's) than pay freezes. so they say anyhow.

I'd be surprised if they end up catching up with inflation compared to 3 years ago when they stopped getting rises.
