non frog
Maybe I am wrong and the UK is the next Greece. The Greeks seem incapable of understanding their government has not got any more money to handout. Reality will bite for them as surely as in the UK. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/onthefrontline/7650268/Military-veterans-angry-at-pensions-freeze.html
ken_ichikawa
Nah it is just that many people do not understand unfunded. Many people I worked with even in accountancy thought there was some big warehouse where they kept all their NIC contribs and therefore had taken the money and could now dish it out as if it were a 401K thing. deflation
The govt stated that state pensions would go up 2.5% this year irrespective of the RPI in Sept 2009. But not for ex-servicemen it seems. I expect this will swing a few more votes against Brown
