I've noticed some members have got 5.

I'm not happy about having 3.

Personally I think I should have just 1.

3 seems to be the common denominator amongst the cool guys.

5 is for crawlers.

I want to be possibly the first to have just 1.

I honestly hadn't clocked the stars thing, but I'm quite pleased to have five, though I suspect it has something to do with just having been hanging around like a bad smell for so long.

By the way, I just gave you a five rating to help you along.

You're a popular guy X.

Knowledgeable, witty and you bring lots to the table.

Unlike myself.

Mind you I think I'm down to three because I've attracted some nutters just recently

It was quite interesting having a quick look tonight at how some people are perceived on here.

Well, I didn't vote for me.

Is the star system weighted in any way, or is it a simple arithmetic mean?

ie if one person votes for 1 star, and one person votes for 5 stars, does the user then get 3 stars as an average, even tough nobody gave them 3 stars???!!!?

Do you need a certain number of stars before the count is considered valid?

Just corrected that for you BB.

Where did I get the other one from? I liked only having one. When you have 5 it shows all the nutters on here think your like them. So one is the place to be.

"I've only got one and I talk a lot of sense."

I don't wish to be unpleasant BB but usually people that say they talk a lot of sense don't.

What do people who DO talk a lot of sense say then ? That they dont

Why don't you all create the star equivalent of the masonic lodge? You can each award everyone else their desired number of stars knowing that they will do the same for you because the more people that co-operate, the more effective it is.

Or have I just destroyed the rating system with that suggestion?
