I had a letter through today, addressed to my landlord, demanding prompt payment of last month's mortgage instalment, which is outstanding despite 2 reminders ..Looks like he's in big trouble financially as I have also received unpaid bills from the company which manages the site.How long will it be before the bank decides to repo?

2003 basic- 26k (plus OT around 13k) 2007 basic for the same job- 28k (plus OT from 6k to 14k) And this, in the NHS which has seen massive investment during the period. This year, GB decided to add insult to injury by giving us a 1% pay rise, which is effectively a 4% pay cut, if you consider the RPI figures. My take home has gone up by 20-40% ( depending on the O/T paid in different sites) but thats mainly down to yearly increments related to seniority. Anyone starting off where I did 5 years ago would be much worse off today as wage increases have clearly not kept pace with inflation & O/T pay has significantly declined (50- 100% of basic salary was the going rate 5 years ago whereas its more like 20-40% nowadays)
