A friend who has been self employed for twenty odd years recently jacked it in and got a job in the further education sector. He's just returned from a course where he spent a day making a wooden toy. Travelled hundreds of miles to do the course and was put up in a hotel, expenses etc. Absolutly no relevance to his job whatsoever and was told by his boss when he returned it was 'personal development' and there are plenty like this to go on. The public sector are still living out their fantasy.

Hello. New member. Bought my first house many years ago when I was eighteen and have been arguing ever since with all those many people who told me that it was a great investment and how wonderful it is to see the value of ones home rocket in value. Looks like I've found somewhere where I am not alone in my views! Also interested in economics and looks like I can share my unorthodox ideas on here.
