  1. Really, does anyone actually know of anyone who reads or takes any notice of this joke of a rag? In tbe supermarket I go out of my way to look at the Express headlines for "a laugh" the chances are its on one of the following subjects: House Prices Immigrants Fuel Prices Health Scares Maddie or occasionally the weather. It's just warped, I can't get my round what their agenda is.
  2. Sounds like scare mongering. Surely having higher rates for higher LTV will people from over extending themselves and act as a dampening mechanism? If you hosed money at FTBs at just above the current base rate you'd never hear the end of it when base rates rise to a more natural level and they could no longer keep up payments.
  3. Hi, Long timer lurker decided to take the plunge and start posting. STR a two bed flat in 2006 glad to see the back of rip off service charges, water leaks and breakins. Rented a couple of flats since then and am now renting a rather nice semi for about £500 a month less than the mortgage would be. We would like to bu somewhere in the near future but the sums don't add up. I consider myself a bear as I really do not see how this insanity can continue. I'm glad I found this site otherwise I would have bought a crappy terrace house in the rough end of town at near peak prices Looking forward to getting more involved in the site, I particularly enjoy the near real time commentary on LLL on Property Snakes and Ladders
