That's the one , the forum is putting all my text into one long line. Have asked for help on the main board with no success  , there's a pint in in for anyone who can tell me how to sort this problem , it's driving me nuts  Quote

Have asked for help on the main board with no success  , there's a pint in in for anyone who can tell me how to sort this problem , it's driving me nuts  Yeah I saw some of your other posts Maltus and appreciate your frustration. It sounds to me like the invision board editor is spitting the dummy over your text - i read somewhere that if the editor thinks that javascript looks like it being added into a post then it will strip all the formatting back (for security reasons), possibly resulting in everything appearing with no paragraph spacing. Try writing your next post in notepad with paragraphs included and then copying and pasting that content across to see if that has any effect. If so I'll have a pint of Guinness! Quote

P.P. Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) only one tune fur 2day pp! rock on! nice one if you put....... [ media ] in front of the link you post*, and........ [ /media ] at the end of that link, the video is embedded in the page and you can stay on the thread whilst the song plays edit - take away the spacing between brackets and text which i have had to include here so it can be shown..... but feck it , i still enjoy the songs anyway! here's mine for today..... * you can also get the exact youtube link for each song from a box on the r.h.s. of the youtube page edit2 - better video edit3 FOR the techies - if the youtube song has embedded disabled you will still stay on hpc but a new page will occur edit4 - sp. paul65 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Thanks for the tip paul there's a pint of the black stuff riding on this post having proper spacing fingers crossed Looks like no pint of the black stuff for me as there's no spacing in there Malthus. The fact that your posted text (from notepad) is in a different font though means something happened though. I'll go back to scratching my head to see if there is something else causing the issue. Just checked my personal settings there now Malthus by clicking on My Settings. Then look under General Settings > Posting Settings. If you have enabled visual (RTE) Editor uncheck it, save the settings and see what happens. It looks like the Rich Text Editor (RTE) only works with certain browser releases. Here's a screengrab of my general settings should you wish to see if replicating my setup helps you any: Quote
