DonnieDarker
Despite reading a couple of guides to SPPS I still cant get my head round it. Coulld someone like me earning £30k pay into SIPPS? If so, I'm quite tempted by the opportunity to put a few thousand in each year and then use the SIPPS to buy gold sometime in the future and get 22% off. (Basic Rate Of Tax) Is it this simple or is there some reason I would be inelligible to do this?

I don't know if they are the best provider though and you may not be able to invest directly in gold with them so check first http://www.tdwaterhouse.co.uk/productsandservices/sipp.cfm edit - you might not be able to hold residential property with them though!
