  1. One of the dividing lines between those Jews supporting Corbyn and those opposing him is political.
  2. I've read the report thanks. What I asked you was the percentage of AS cases in the LP.
  3. The Labour Party is actually a defined Democratic Socialist party.
  4. Let's be clear here: The main reason for the investigation was to determine if the LP was institutionally racist. It found it wasn't. In fact, it found only two cases where it broke the law and both were because LP officials were involved ergo making the party responsible. Livingstone was one (who was promptly suspended which was backed by Corbyn). The other, was a Councillor. The EHRC report states that under Formby cases being processed were sped up massively. It also pinpointed the Blairites (some on the Panorama programme who Starmer paid off) as being responsible for the previous delays. This was all in the leaked internal report. Finally, of the 23 cases of interference in the disciplinary process the report makes it clear most were to speed up cases, not hinder them. This report is not the smoking gun its being portrayed as and it could be why Corbyn got suspended to make it out as one.
  5. What people in the party say is not the same as the party rules. The party rules are comprehensive and are ratified by the NEC and conference. You appear to be confusing two separate things. The law also does supercede. Take ASTs for example. You cannot impose rules that contravene law. There's a reason the LP won't state under what rule he has been suspended under. The suspension maybe explained by two situations. 1) Once under suspension you are not allowed to discuss the case until it is resolved. That could be convenient to prevent someone speaking out on say, something like the EHRC report. 2) The LP are in the middle of an NEC election which Starmer desperately needs to hold balance in. Many LP members are resigning over Corbyns suspension and it's been revealed that their NEC vote will get cancelled. Also, Evans has asked for all staff hands on deck to process the flood of resignations. Some would ask why the urgency but others may refer back to a statement he made under Blair when proposing to overhaul party voting systems: “representative democracy should as far as possible be abolished in the Party”.
  6. Corbyn was employed by the party when leader but not now. " Who technically employs UK Members of Parliament? and When do they technically become employed as M.P.s? This information is held by the House of Commons. Members of Parliament (MPs) are not employed in any legal sense of the word. MPs are elected to their position by the electorate after putting themselves up as a candidate. They become a MP once they have been confirmed by the local Electoral Officer as having won the election in their constituency. It may also help you to know that the House of Commons is also not responsible for a Member's salary and expenses, which is paid by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA).
  7. Like I said, it doesn't work like that in the Labour Party. If you get suspended it has to follow the rules and this is where the party will come unstuck. There is due process and the more I hear the more it looks like it wasn't followed.
  8. It doesn't work like that. What the EHRC says is legally binding as is the Human Rights Act. The Labour Party has a rule book, it isn't a dictatorship. There are processed that need to be adhered to. When has JC ever stated that about leaving? He offered Blairites places on the front bench.
  9. Yep, article 10 of the Human Rights Act. It was literally stated in the report. Maybe that's why they are refusing to tell party members why he's been suspended.
  10. The authors of the report were quoting Labour Party members rights under the Human Rights Act Article 10. Starmer doesn't have the power to make up rules on the spot. It is now coming out that Evans acted out of his jurisdiction and he didn't have the power to suspend Corbyn. Arch Blairite Evans is previously on record as stating he didn't want members to have any power in the party. The Labour Party is run by a rule book and that's quite important.
  11. It's a political thread involving Jeremy Corbyn, what did you expect? Why was his response stupid?
  12. In that report it clearly states that party members can question the scale of AS in the party which Corbyn did, in fact, he questioned the scale being suggested when the actual figures are less than the general population and less than Tories. Every time I ask someone to quantify the numbers no one can actually give a defining answer. The general public believe that AS cases in the party are at 35% when they are actually only 0.01% The civil war has been under way from the right of the party for quite a few years now, Corbyn is just standing his ground. Ironic that Corbyn's suspension is the same interference in disciplinary matters that the party was deemed to have acted illegally under Corbyn. This is why the party won't say under what rule he has been suspended and NEC members are saying it was Starmer's decision. Either way, it's not for Starmer or Evans to decide so they may have broken the law on this one.
  13. As I said, they were found guilty of just two cases. As I said, they weren't found guilty of the main charge that the investigation was set up to do and that is to see if the arty was institutionally racist. As I said: "We received representations noting that the intervention of LOTO staff in some antisemitism cases was to press for action to be taken, and that this could not amount to a disadvantage. We accept that, in some cases, the LOTO staff interference catalysed action. However, the inappropriateness of political interference in antisemitism complaints is not necessarily about the particular outcomes that it led to, but rather the contamination (and / or the perception of contamination) of the fairness of the process." If you read the report like I have you will see the dates are important because there was a chunk of time when the GLU was run by Mc Nicol who sat on complaints in order to discredit the LOTO. You will also see that under Formby the processing of complaints massively expanded. Oh, and lastly, Mc Nicol's team deliberately sent cases to the LOTO asking what to action until they were told to stop. Now, can we see your evidence for your claims about Luciana Berger?
  14. Corbyn gained more votes in 2017 and 2019 than the leaders in the previous three elections. Can you tell me the actual figure of AS cases in the Labour Party membership and then the comparison to society in general and then the Tory party?
  15. You need to spend some time actually researching the validity of your claims before posting nonsense such as you just did regarding Luciana Berger. The key points from the report are that Labour isn't institutionally racist, that the harassment was to do with just two cases one of which the person was immediately suspended, and that the interference in the disciplinary process was to speed cases up.
  16. And what is our culture? Our culture is a melting pot from all over the world. Do all English people practice one culture? It's always interesting that the references to different cultures never includes South Africans, New Zealanders, Aussies, or Yanks. I wonder why? As for language, there are 10,000 French words in our language just for starters. What do you do when faced with the Black Country dialect because I can tell you now, if you aren't from there you won't have a clue?
