  1. I went to view 3 properties about a month ago all through the same EA....when I arrived there was a very young chap from the EA who greeted us. There was one property that I particularly wanted to see, but he had forgotten to bring the keys to that one. The next property we went to see, when we went inside we were greeted by a woman in her pants, clearly worse for wear, who didn't know what was going on, so we made a quick exit. The 3rd property the EA had bought the wrong set of keys....really glad I took a day off work for this muppet to completely waste my time. The are a very well know EA, who I would hate to have to do business with.
  2. Thanks for that. I live in Clapham Old Town and I must say there has been no real drop in house prices at all. I might have to venture further afield to be able to afford somewhere that I would be happy to live in!
  3. Thanks for that, I think thats my view as well.....think I am happy to hold and just see what occurs over the next 18 months. With the Euro issues, interest rates to rise, unemployment to rise, big cuts on the way etc etc be interesting to see what happens.
  4. I am new to this board so was hoping you could give me some advice. I sold my property in 2006 (because I had to rather than wanting to) and am now quite keen to buy again. I keep getting so many conflicting pieces of advice, I am not too sure what to do. Some are saying that prices will come down some way further over the next 2 years (although prices where I live in SW4 are still ridiculously high) and that I should wait. Some are saying that I need to get on board, because if prices do rise again I'll get caught out!! Any help would be gladly received.
  5. I've been out to Australia many times over the years and was out there in March this year. I was shocked at how expensive house prices are. Not helped by the weak £, which makes everything so much more expensive, but average 3 bed houses, in a bit of a duff area for $1million+ They seemed pretty pleased with themselves that they hadn't been in a recession, but surely the bubble has to burst sometime?
  6. Looking for some advise really, In sold my property in 2007 (May) and have been renting in SW London ever since, In have an urge to get back on the property market and buy again, but am worried that if I do, house prices fall and i'm on to a loser. Also worried that if I don't get back on the ladder and by 2011 (end of) prices start to go stupid again, I'll be left behind. Where I live there seems absolutely no sign of prices coming down, still ridiculous prices £400k for a iffy 2 bed flat for example. Any comments would be appreciated.
