  1. Charity shops are thriving in my town centre, other than that its bookmakers, coffee shops, banks and building societies, pawnbrokers, pound shops and other similar ultra cheap outlets. There are a few long established names still about as you get to the centre but a lot of them are now out of town and there is still an awful lot of empty premises. As for beauty salons, I have seen the odd fancy nail bar open up over the last couple of years but most of them have already closed by now and lay empty.
  2. Hello, been lurking for a while and thought it was about time I registered, great site btw. I Was in a newsagents earlier and noticed a front page story in my local rag concerning a house raffle gone wrong. Seems the lady in question was raffling her home "worth" £200,000 for £10 a ticket. She had even thrown a trivia question into the farce in the hope of overcoming any legal obstacles. It made me chuckle anyway, though it seems the gambling commission did not find it so amusing and has questioned its status prompting the withdrawl of the competition, this despite her having sold around 6700 tickets. Looks like these scams are being nipped in the bud before they even get off the ground. My first question would have been if it is worth that much then why can't she sell it? Though 6700 people didn't seem to feel the need to ask that. Tonight's story http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/news/10-...il/article.html Original article http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/news/Rol...ls/article.html Oh and here is the official site now with the sombre anouncment on the main page http://www.winthishome.co.uk/ Hope this hasn't already been posted, but I couldn't find it via the search function so I think not.
