  1. Yes the parking is all underground here and people cant park outside unless there is permits - ellesmere street is all being changed by teh council - going to be a mixture of pay and display and residents passes - this will stop all the cars that are there now and look a mess. They are also thinking of making it oneway so that people dont cut through from chester rd - city council are doing this soon
  2. you would have thought the agent would have put one for sale sign up as its the same agent - this will only put people off
  3. I am from the area - Grew up in congresbury and had a property in Winscombe for a few years. although there is talk os Somerset prices falling more in recent months i would say generally its a desirable area as its countryside but close to schools cities seaside or shops and this will always attract people so dont expect them to go down too much. When I moved from Somerset I am now in central Manchester as my job took me here - I decided after renting for a year to buy a new apartment in a quiet part of the city and must say I have lived to regret it - I would much rather invest in North Somerset - buy carefully like now when places are a little cheaper and you wont go wrong
  4. Whats your thoughts on the St Georges Island Development on the Castlefield extension by Dandara?
  5. Forgot to say that you mentioned the Beetham Tower - these are not selling at all - there are still around 80 for sell on rightmove and around 30 to rent. people are not willing to pay for these
  6. There are plenty of niceflats to rent for around the 500 pcm mark in manchester and you wont have to pay the service charge. The silly building by the Mancy way is student studio accomodation. There does seem to be alot of flats constantly being built in Manchester and it is a concern for people that have bought here although Manchester has mainly been a good place to invest in recent years. even with the recent falls across the UK the North West has fallen a smaller amount. I bought a new apartment in Manchester 2 years ago and at the moment it seems to be worth about what i paid for it which is a concer but it will always rent so if i need to move thats what I will do. Its in the St Georges Island Development in the Castlefield extension if you like. Nice place to live and very quiet though! anyone know it?
