  1. Is it possible your landlady is illegally subletting and is a council tenant herself? How does one even find this info out?

  4. regarding the studio - from the floorplan there don't even appear to be any doors or walls separating the toilet. Basically they're asking someone to play 60 odd grand for the fabulous opportunity to live in a large toilet. Insanity.

There is this from Thompson Financial via google news: 4 hours ago: Humberts sells Richard Harding Estate Agents for 1.06 mln pounds LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Humberts Group Plc. said it has sold Richard Harding Estate Agents for 1.06 million pounds, of which 60,000 pounds was paid in cash and the balance represents the cancellation of the outstanding deferred amount of 1.0 million pounds. The company said the proceeds will be used to assist its working capital position and added it will continue to evaluate its options in the current challenging market.
