Vince Cable’s sound views
Warning: this economic crisis could drag on for a decade
One difficulty in all this financial turmoil is knowing who to listen to, who is talking sense and has a grasp of the complexities of the matter. We've heard some dreadful disingenuous nonsense from some members of the Govt. Vince Cable is still in my opinion one of the few whose views should be taken very seriously.

Amazing that for all the mention of debt, there are very few mentions of who we owe the money too. If they started spending, thereby allowing debtors to work off the loans, there would be no need for a stimulus.
Additional borrowing doesn’t address this issue.

We will be lucky if is only an economic crisis-the ramifications are potentially dreadful. We are at the stage of one horseman saddled up and ready to ride, and if Humpty Dumpty is not put back together pretty damm quick, the other three will ready to rock and roll as well.

People have got to get their heads around what the essential problem is. Capitalism is being revealed for what it really is which is just the feudal system in better clothes. The vast majority of people are pawns who are kept at bay by consumer goods whilst the bankers and their chosen politicans literally live like kings, NEVER having to worry about hardship or poverty. The people must not be allowed to turn on each other because there is a common enemy here.
