  1. I guess the association with UF (which was also very cheery until the likeable Skinty went a bit manic-depressive I think) must be the explanation for my high warning count as I must be one of the most bland and uncontroversial posters on here, or maybe it was for saying Brucie gets a bit little-Hitlerish sometimes, he's a sensitive wee soul :-)

Well that's Swisserland for you! :(

  2. I find I have four warning points - beat that!

Although it's a bit daft handing them out when people have no idea that they're getting them.

Again, I refer you to Franz Kafka's "Der Prozess"

Or the "Trial" as we would say in Wales! I believe Somerset should and could be East Wales!

WE are both 4 on the scale of naughty!

Oddly one of the ex-posters said I was one of the "more polite guys here", as I believe you are!

  3. And a splash of Irish

The UK will survive our secession, without a doubt, and so will Scotland.

    A brave new world!

Shamefully, I forgot about that other bit of the UK over the sea, as I probably left out Guernsey, and Orkney too!

  4. I didnt think Javid was quite as awful as the libdem woman. when asked about the economics of tuition fees she went off on some tangent about ethnic minorities in wales.

Javid just gave bad answers. The lib dem woman was actually on another planet.

Harman cant be trusted, given pretty much every issue raised she messed up when in power.

Billy Bragg actually made the most sense of them all, which I find highly disturbing.

Ha ha. The man's not daft, whether you like him or not.

  5. I just got a new plastic card from the Co-op bank. Now the previous one said "The Co-operative bank. Good with money".

The new one says "Co-operative bank, here for you for life"

Clearly I am reassured that they admit they are no good with money at all, but the "life" thing suggest they might have contracted out a "hit" on me?

I'm buying dark glasses and an orange wig.

  6. I'd avoid pylons/sub stations/phone masts like the plague if I were buying a house. Links to cancer etc may be un-proven but why take the risk when you have a choice and there are millions of house up for sale at government backed affordable mega bubble mania prices.

I did! They blat out my radio reception! Not the usual stuff, but I'm on shortwave a bit, being a ham radio bod!

  7. I have seen quite a few next to houses and I can always hear a low constant hum coming from them - does my head in.

At the end of my road the gas board put in a new safety valve on the gas mains a few months ago. They raised the mains up out of the ground with an inverted u-shape pipe and stuck a big valve on it. They then covered it with a small building.

Now, 24 hours a day, you can hear a loud constant hissing from the gas flowing through the pipe. I can hear it at the far end of the road and, frankly, I think it has made all the houses in the area unsellable.

II would blame it on your neighbours having the cheek to use electricity and gas in your neighbourhood! I'm playing hymns on a harmonium until 4 AM, by kerosene lamp! What better neighbour could you want? I'm not one for such extravagance!
