Hi there, I am looking to rent out my flat which I have a mortgage on. I have the tenant and tenancy agreement in place but the YBS have stated that their mortgage conditions state that I must use a solicitor or a letting agent. I don't need to use a letting agent and pay them 15% of the fee for nothing nor do I want to spend several hundred pounds on solicitors fees? Any suggestions on how I can get around this? Thanks

Hi there, I am currently looking to remortgage my flat. I would appreciate suggestions on current best rates. I have been offered a C&G on a fixed rate on 5.88 for 2 years and very slightly below this for a variable but the £2000 admin charges seem quite steep. I have seen significantly better deals with Nationwide but have been informed that they are purely for 1st time buyers or new mortgages. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Darren
