  1. My research has led me to believe there is a rush to the exit happening in Wales from landlords because of the new regulations. Renting Homes Wales Act 2016 says the EPC must be C or above. The ones who might accept the new 6-month possession-seeking notice seem to be giving up because of the EPC issue. It seems the 'age of the landlord' is over as agents here are advertising obvious ex-BTL properties as 'suitable for first-time buyers', these same properties a few years ago would have been marketed **IDEAL INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY!!**.

Only a few are being marketed with tenants in situ. I am seeing reductions that are encouraging. If they're all trying to sell this year prices will have to nosedive.

Ha, links to stories posted on this forum. I read one the other day about some bloke who couldn't get his non-paying tenant out, and even the court ruled in her favour. It was costing him a fortune each month, and he was frantic about how he was going to lose his own house over it.

Probably the court didn't rule in her favour, he just didn't have the correct paperwork, the court's won't be disrespected.

This is precisely the reason why (IMO) people should refuse to use AirBNB and the like.

Complete disregard to neighbours, neighbourhoods, communities, local bylaws etc.

As ever it's pure unadulterated greed, from the AirBNB parasite scumlord right through to that peice of sh!t CEO Brian Chesky.

As long as they are lining their own pockets they could not give a fudge about anyone else.

When did people become so selfish?

Not only do the AirBNB parasite sumlords richly deserve bad karma, those using the companies services also deserve it.

I garantee if an AirBNB customer later found out that a nearby property to their actual house was an AirBnb they would soon change their tune about this parasitic company

  4. Some of us have worked and saved hard for it. I have tenants who could easily own their own home but choose to spend all their spare money instead of saving it. They're choice of course but you only get to spend it once.
