I'm a STRer, sitting out in rentsville and waiting for the Great British public to come to their collective senses and stop buying houses at silly prices.
I'm out there preaching the HPC message, even if it does sometimes fall on deaf ears. A colleague told me she put in an offer for a flat at the weekend. She's a FTB and has offered on a flat which is 8 x her salary. (Her mum if helping her out with the repayments). Hopefully the morgage people will say 'no way!'
Five houses in my street have sold in the last 2 months (all the current For sale stock), although my neighbour took a 'big cut' on the asking price.
Happy to wait as long as it takes. Cheaper to rent my house than buy.
