There's an "A" list celeb appearing there at the opening.
May be autograph hunters...

Are there any other keyword phrases that you want me to store?
Estate agents act
Estate agent act
Estate agency act
That covers them all...

Well IMO it was only a matter of time before the DFS sofa sales tactic fully entered the NI housing market.
I can see EA TV ads depicting an EA chopping a house in two with a chainsaw.
"This house has a RRP of £500,000 but during the (never-ending) sale it's "just" £250,000."
-
I've had Property Bee installed since April 20th.
Since then there has been a house listed at £235,000.
Then on May 9th the guide price surprisingly (surprisingly at the time) rose to £240,000.
Today, May 30th, the price is now £229,000 and their ad states "Price Changed from £240,000 for quick sale!"

(I've been told I could probably get a grant to pay for all the re-wiring).
Be aware that grants are means tested.

I get 'page cannot be displayed' when I click OK.

Second link doesn't work for me - I'm guessing it's over £85K
It's working for me. When you click on it, click on the OK button which comes up.
The other price is £160,000

I noticed Wilsons have this house for auction with an estimate of £85,000

This is how much next door has been priced at by another EA;

Thought you couldn't get a refurbished house in Belfast for £75k?
You can now...

RICS saying that prices could fall 40% this year.
Did they?

Unfortunately I think Jamie de Largy would be the only media person interested.
don't forget Mandy McAuley...

You have gotta feel bad for the young couple in Craigavon who bough at the peak with 95% mortgage - he's paying 80-90% of his salary on servicing it???????
and it's an interest only mortgage.

Is this a new phenomenon
Open to offers on the piccy on property news?
http://www.propertynews.com/brochure.php?r...1210HF954094910
Not so new out west.
In Strabane an EA has marked many of the houses 'open to offers'.

34% I think, thicky!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7406922.stm
"There are currently 40,000 vacant houses in Northern Ireland."
Does anyone know how many people live in Northern Ireland? I got a figure of 1.75 million, so those houses alone would house 4% of the population, if we say that an average of 2 people live in every house.
Apparently 5% of NI housing stock is vacant.
At least that's the figure that was stated in the media about 18 months ago.

Argh, missed it!!!! Anyone able to summarise?
Click on the link above posted by spring.

In the report where he's standing in front of the line of EA signs, that's at the entrance into Cregagh Estate.
I seen them filming there today.

link's broke
Use IE if you're using FireFox

I completely agree. [sorry got quite sensitive and didn't looked at this site for a few months]
Energy Performance Certificates will be required for all properties (except new builds) from the 30th June - this will be the legal responsibility of the home owner to provide [can be got through estate agents] and with approx £125 + VAT to stay on the market a lot of people will likely withdraw and stay put.
Would £125 + VAT really make some withdraw from the market?
Considering all the costs, problems, stress etc involved in moving, an extra £147 seems neither here nor there.

the elusive Fermanagh listings (basically Turning Point ).
An apt name.

had bought a 2 bed terrace in Stranmillis from a distressed seller needing to move. It had been on for 210k and he had offered 140k and got accepted
I'd guess a terraced house in Stranmillis would quite possibly have a rateable value somewhere in that region.

wow...

Looking at the plan of that flat, would I be correct in thinking the bed is in the living room?

According to Fubar over on Global it's May McFettridge.
I think the appearance of such a global superstar would explain the queues.
Might go myself to see if I can catch a glimpse.
