  3. so with northern Rock going tits up do you think this is an indication that the HPC is kicking off, also do you think they will be selling there premises cheap could make some nice flats out of those ?

  5. The problem is though that people are still stupid enough to keep buying at ridiculous prices, EA's are making prices up eg a ground floor coucil flat in beruit for £115k ??? Until people stop paying these daft prices or bankrupt themselves it just doesnt appear to be happening? Someone talk some sense into these people

Im no expert just a potential 1st time buyer that refuses to pay stupid prices , im quite happy renting my 2 double bedroom top floor flat in a nice area of leeds for £400 a month without worrying This surely is going to impact on all the fooles who have intrest only mortgages , many people i know are already seriously struggling , estate agents appear to just make prices up (i could be wrong) but i have not seen any property in my area sell quickly at all. Personally i think the crash started a few months ago but nobody will dare admit this and now with this news inless you are completly mad who in the right mind is going to buy property right now ? as a 1st time buyer its the last thing i would think of doing and i imagine there are many more with my thoughts so this can only lead to one thing ......... Tell me if im wrong

Ok Im no expert but these house prices are just stupid things like 300k for 2 bed back to back etc that was like 90k a few years ago all because young people are being brainwashed into thinking they have to get on property market!!! I want to know how does your average person afford to live as well as pay these ridiculous mortgages. I think its already showing so many people i know are struggling to pay their debts shifting one debt to another I have also noticed that BBC is now starting to sit on the fence more as well upto the last few months its only been how well housing market is doing and business economy but now it reports more of the doom and gloom. If this market holds out for another 6 months i will be shocked. Becasue everyone is in so much debt trying to pay for their houses i am scared that xmas will be cancelled!!!! Roll on cheap reposessions could just all be in my head ?
  8. I beleive this house price crash is already underway, one or two people still able to sell but the majority of people i know cannot sell for love nor money! In one instance a seller has tried over 12 months reducing from £240k down to the fact he has acepted an offer from buy your house for cash at below £160k

There is 2 flats for sale where i am in leeds , one a 1st floor flat and one a fourth floor, both on market for months at 129k, the fourth floor has put up the price to about 145k now as some gormless EA didnt check it!!! I rent one on the fifth floor whith no stress no worries for £400 a month!!! ha ha the world is mad if you think i would up that to £1000 a month just to say i bought a property!!! maybe its me but long live stress free living

Ok , finally people are seeing my point, i get loads of idots constantly telling me i have to buy and get on the property ladder before prices go up again so for all you people who are hassling me take note 1. Yes i earn a damn good salary but im tight!!! 2. I am not going to pay 180k for a pokey little flat in drug fueled area that was 45k less than 18 months ago 3. I currently rent a top floor double bedroom huge flat in a fantastic location for £400 p/m 4. I dont have to worry about maintenance or anything 5. No im not throwing money down the drain because the 180k flat you want me to buy will only sell for 70k (max) in a few years when im completley skint becasue i cant afford to pay it. 6. Show me 5 people who have sold a property in the last few months for their asking price!!! 7. Why buy now when i can have a repossed house for next to nothing by next year ?? 8. Why exactly must i get on the property ladder ???? Tell me im wrong ????

Ok, as soon as one person puts the price on a property up everyone does which how this whole over the top pricing started, example is my friend was the first to do this in an area near me , as soon as his was advertised at 40k overpriced all the others changed to match it ! So, if everyone on here puts in a £5 we buy a house and then sell it 50% less thus forcing everyone else to drop their price then the circle is complete!!!!! Word of mouth and a massive email shot to every first time buyer should be enough to raise funds to do this

  13. I have had enough of this , less than 4 days ago bbc tells everyone House prices are going up etc, 4 days later now they say its going down the pan ??? I will tell it how it is :- 1. house prices are overpriced 2. Nobody in their right mind will buy a council flat for 150k in bad area 3. Everyone who is mortgaged upto eyeballs to buy over priced houses are now skint! 4. Couples are splitting up becuase they have no money becasue they panic bought. 5. No FTB with any sense like me is going to buy I am no rocket scienties but even i can see the market is going down the toilet ? Tell me if im wrong someone please ???
  14. I earn a nice wage , i also inherited a property so my opinion is unbiased as an FTB. I currently rent a nice flat in a nice loction in west yorkshire for £400 a month no ties no worries about repairs etc. I can buy the flat next door for 135k costing me nearly 3 times what i pay now with more stress and agro and the risk of coming stuck with it all becuase people are insisting to buy buy buy and it is well overpriced !! Everyone says about property going up and increase etc my opinion is twaddle, no property especially houses at 140k in the middle of a council estate are selling , everyone i know who has been trying to sell for the last 6 months are stuck! Everyone who was daft enough to mortgage themselves up over the last 12 months are now struggling! If the housing market survives the way it is for another 6 months i will be impressed!! Im not the smartest bear in the park but im not daft enough to believe all the rubbish going about 6% increase etc it aint selling now so it aint gonna sell in future inless prices drop ! If you look at bbc news etc , one day "prices going up market on the up" next day "Prices droppping market stuck" someone tell me what to believe ????? any FTB, you can get a great deal renting and living in the place you want and still be able to afford a life or you can give in to peer preasure stitch yourself up and prob lose the house and your marbles within 12 months! Remeber kids just say NO! Thats my rant so bring it on!
  15. Up North 1 day they drop next they go up! I still am going to wait 6 months and i about to rent a top floor flat in north leeds a very nice area with 2 double bedrrom for only £400 a month which is nothing. I still am hoping it will drop becaus ei earn a decent salary and a £120k with get me a council flat worth 40k in my opinion and i refuse to buy
  16. Ok we know its all overpriced but yet people keep buying , I have waited for 10 months for something to happen to force prices down but its not going to. All the speculation if you read all the stuff on here and yet prices are still climbing. The only way these prices will come down is if everyone stops buying the houses at stupid prices! maybe its time we all accept that this is what houses are going to cost and thats that! just my thoughts

A 4 bed house has come on the market , with garage, all brand new and needs nothing doing to it for only 119k ok not the best area but better than many ex council flats on at the same money, so if one has dropped to this as i reckon you could pick it up for 110 or less surely the rest are going to drop as if thats on at that price a crappy house or flat must have to be well below ??
  19. I found what seems to be a nice property for around 109k which in my view and less than 2 years ago was probably half that! I have no idea what to beleive whether the market will crash or not so should i buy or should i hold off ??? HELP
