  1. next year lowest point? I think it could take a few years to bottom out, 2 at the least what makes you think next year?

Building firms locally tying up loose ends and tradesmen already laid off from brickies to sparks, the dole queue is longer without a doubt.

Discounted and repossesed will only be bargains if bought at the bottom of the crash,,,, hard to estimate when this will be.

Prices are dropping locally, but slowly in the main, it appears there are not enough forced sellers just yet to bring about a crash but prices are dropping weekly by anything from 1k to 10k some, the odd distressed by as much as 20 to 30k.

where are you interested in, what towns or ayshire in general?

    Thanks for the reply cannonfodder,

I am currently looking in and around Ayr, Troon, Prestwick ect.. as IMHO I feel these areas are well over priced and may drop faster/futher than some other towns.

    Cheers

  2. Hi there,

Would i be right in saying next year house prices are expected to be at there lowest point. And with building firms not building at the moment due to the fact that no one is buying, Tradesman will be layed off and unemployment will grow and reposseseions will increase.

Now would be the right time to get the finances in place for next year to pick up some discounted repossesed properties ?

Kinda new to this guys so any feedback would be appreciated on finding repossesed property in ayrshire (scotland) so i can start doing my home work the now.

    Cheers
