  1. After hearing about the SD announcement I soon heard phrases like it has been 'postponed' or it would be a 'holiday'. I am assuming that if you were to buy a property between 125k and 175k within the next 12 months that you would have to pay zero SD on that purchase, and not for example have it deferred to a years time. So I have been doing a bit of searching just to see and can't seem to confirm it one way or the other. Any ideas? Sorry if it sounds thick but it just crossed my mind.

  2. Kirsty could be forgiven for her property ramping / debt pedaling views for the past 5 years, down to her stupidity and just following the sheep but for anyone who has watched their new property program on more4 after location, location, location on a Wednesday night its just criminal that her, phill and Kirsties sister and still trying to pedal the debt slave boxes to the unfortunate.

My thoughts after watching that last night. I think they have finally moved on from the property only goes up spin. The new one is 'Improve your home now before increases in fuel costs makes it less affordable to do so at a later date'

The whole idea of the bloke having to pitch his job to three builders to see if they were willing to 'take the job on' was hilarious. Shouldn't it have been the other way round?

  3. I keep thinking it must have been some kind of grand plan to make slaves out of us all. An idiot should have been able to work out we can't just keep on borrowing and borrowing. Mind you we have been run by a bunch of idiots that will leg it as fast as they can as soon as we kick them out in a couple of years. And then over to another bunch of idiots and so the cycle continues....

  4. Just wondering what the ones to watch will be for this year. Not so much the ones already there but places that are likely to appear in either list for the first time.

    20 best

Don't laugh but I reckon Milton Keynes has an outside chance of making the top 20. Combines the best of living in both town and country without the worst bits (eg traffic).

Would love to see Norwich make it as I was born there and it's a great place. You never know as more historic cities are needed. York or Bath perhaps?

Also, reckon some of the nicer seaside resorts might make it - Bournemouth, Brighton, Torbay perhaps?

Edinburgh will not hold on. Winner will not be from the south east.

    20 worst

Too northern focused last year. Expect to see somewhere down south added to the list. Luton is always a good candidate.

Also a few of the more run down seaside resorts may make an appearance. Gt Yarmouth springs to mind but I am sure there are still 20 worst places so maybe I am being a bit unfair. I just always found it depressing in winter.

Middlesbrough will be relieved of top spot. Reckon that will go to one of London's 'undesirables'. Most likely the one which has the most knife crime.
