There is hardly a day goes by were major job losses are not announced. Yet no panic..every thing is A OK with UK plc? Never mind not affording to be able to get on the fabled ladder due to affordability...unemployment will fall of the cliff hand in hand with the HPC at this rate. We are now suffering from paying some of the higher wages on the planet, Sony announce 10,000 job losses, I wonder how many will devistate some Scotish or Welsh town/city that relies on "The factory" for its main source of jobs? UK plc cannot even engage in the "job protectionism" Japan/China/Korea and the USA can indulge themselves with to protect against waves of unemployment. The USA could always shift massive amounts of, for example, car prodution back to their homeland, we can just sit there, key in some data, produce endless gossip magazines, pay the sky subscription...Sorry, grumpy old man there... ah feck it..got some more "web work" to do Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
